Mary got pregnant.
Immaculately.
Then she told Joseph.
He didn’t believe her.
Here was Mary, ready to live into this promise she had just heard from an angel.
But Joseph didn’t cooperate.
In fact, he was looking for a divorce.
Mary must have been confused, angry and frustrated.
Sometimes the steps aren’t always what we expect.
From any given, individual moment the “why” will always evade us.
Our job is to keep going.
Trust even when it doesn’t make sense.
Even when the circumstances point in another direction.
Even when we’re tempted to give up.
Keep going.
